Varkiza: plan around the exact beach venue

A water-sports lesson or rental is a separate choice. Build the day around the actual operator and activity rather than assuming that a general beach ticket includes it.
If a meal is part of your Varkiza day, leave time for a local taverna and check its menu and opening arrangements. For paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing or kitesurfing, confirm a suitable operating provider, conditions and your ability before making the activity part of your plan.
Schinias: a separate trip towards Marathon

Choose an exact arrival point and carry what you need for that stretch. The natural setting is part of its appeal, but does not promise solitude, usable shade or calm water. Respect local restrictions and take your litter away.
Legrena and the Sounion direction

Glyfada and rocky coves: choose a specific place
Glyfada lets you consider a coastal stop alongside cafés and shopping. Choose the actual beach or waterfront destination first; the city's beaches and public-transport guide can help orient the day.
