Access & participation
- Strong swimming ability is essential to reach the hot-springs bathing area. Wear hiking shoes for the steep volcanic paths.
- Not wheelchair or stroller accessible and not suitable for pets. Infant seats are unavailable.
- Bring swimwear, a towel and sun protection. Avoid jewelry and white swimwear in the hot springs, as the water can affect their appearance.
- Guide languages listed are Greek and English; check the arrangements for your selected departure.
Meeting & pickup
Reconfirm your departure port for your travel date. If the Old Port of Fira is confirmed, arrive at least 30 minutes early and exchange your voucher at Caldera’s Boat Santo Star travel. Hotel transfers, volcano admission and cable-car tickets are not included.

A closer look.
Explore the volcanic side of Santorini on a three-hour boat excursion to Nea Kameni and the hot springs of Palea Kameni. The experience combines time on the volcanic island with a guided explanation of its history and geology, followed by a stop for confident swimmers.
Walk on Nea Kameni
The standard itinerary starts from the Old Port of Fira and sails to Nea Kameni. Spend approximately an hour and a half on the island, with the opportunity to follow the guide towards the volcanic ridge. The paths can be steep, so the supplier recommends comfortable hiking shoes.
Swim at the hot springs
Continue by boat to Palea Kameni for an approximately 30-minute stop near the hot springs. Reaching the bathing area requires strong swimming ability. Foam pool noodles are provided, but they do not replace that requirement.
Know what is included
The boat excursion and professional guide are included. Volcano admission, cable-car travel between Fira and the Old Port, and hotel transfers are not included in this option. Bring swimwear and a towel if you plan to swim.
